Synopsis :On July 2nd, communications systems worldwide are sent into chaos by a strange atmospheric interference. It is soon learned by the military that a number of enormous objects are on a collision course with Earth. At first thought to be meteors, they are later revealed to be gigantic spacecraft, piloted by a mysterious alien species. After attempts to communicate with the aliens go nowhere, David Levinson, an ex-scientist turned cable technician, discovers that the aliens are going to attack major points around the globe in less than a day. On July 3rd, the aliens all but obliterate New York, Los Angeles and Washington, as well as Paris, London, Houston and Moscow. There are new sequels on this movie. So I decided to watch this one. This one have been aired when I was a kid. LOL...
Anyway, I'm not going to talk about the CGI in this movie. It is old movie, duh. Anyway, this movie have a interesting storyline. There are a lot of talking compare to fighting alien action. I'm not going to compare this movie with Marvel's movie. For me this movie is great.. It is more like a movie about Earth having natural disaster but this time is alien invasion. I just wish there are more interaction with the alien.. :D
It have great storyline. Some plot holes here and there but no movie is perfect. Just enjoy it. It is a movie. Anyway, for an old movie I actually enjoy it and with that I rate it 5 out of 5... :D
